RGU Faculty Lieutenant Dr Sudha becomes 1st from NE to clinch Gold at OTA Gwalior
GUWAHATI, January 10, 2026: Lt. Dr. KM Sudha, Assistant Professor in the
Department of History and Associate NCC Officer (ANO) of NCC, Royal Global University under the 30 Assam
Battalion NCC, has become the first person from the northeastern region to secure a Gold Madel at the
prestigious event held at Officer Training Academy (OTA), Gwalior on 19th December 2025. The annual NCC
event is being held for the past several decades.
Dr. Sudha competed among 127 Associate NCC Officers from across the country and was adjudged the Best Firer
of the Academy, and also secured an ‘A’ Grade in the final merit list. She also has been formally
commissioned with the rank of Lieutenant at PRCN–113.
During the rigorous training programme, Dr. Sudha demonstrated outstanding all-round performance by actively
excelling in multiple activities, including Drill Competition, Yoga Instructional Practice, Lecture
Instructional Practice, Map Reading, and Weapon Training.
