Dr. Nitesh Priyadarshi holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from the National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute (NABI), Mohali, where his doctoral research focused on multivalent carbohydrate-functionalized gold nanorod-based nanobiosensors for detection and ablation of foodborne bacteria. He completed his M.Sc. in Microbiology from Pondicherry Central University and B.Sc. in Industrial Microbiology from Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar Bihar University. He has 29 publications, including 13 research articles in high-impact journals such as Biosensors and Bioelectronics, ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, ACS Sensors and RSC Nanoscale, 7 review papers, and 4 book chapters. He also holds four provisional patents and has a citation count of > 600 with an h-index of 13 and i-10 index of 15. Dr. Priyadarshi has presented his research at multiple national and international conferences, receiving several prestigious recognitions, including the RaSe Award for Best Innovation (DBT, Govt. of India, 2025), Best Oral Presentation at M2ChemSF, NIT Hamirpur (2024), and the Best Publication Award (NABI, 2020), among others. His research interests encompass nanobiotechnology, biosensor development, carbohydrate-functionalized nanomaterials for diagnostics, point-of-care devices, and nanotherapeutics for microbial and disease applications. He has hands-on expertise in microbiology, molecular biology, biophysical and biochemical techniques, as well as advanced instrumentation, including electron and atomic force microscopy. He also serves as a Guest Editor for Frontiers in Nanotechnology and a reviewer for reputed journals from Elsevier and MDPI.
