  • Dr. Krishna Barua retired as Professor (English) in the Dept. of Humanities & Social Sciences at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, Assam, India. Her Ph.D. on Patrick White (1986) was one of the pioneering works on Commonwealth Literature. She is currently serving as Senior Professor, RSL, RGU (from 2017 till present).

  • The Novels Of Patrick White: A Critical Study of Themes & Variations. Patrick White (1912-1990), the Australian writer who was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1973, wide intellectual horizon and sheer imaginative alertness combine to make him the first truly international English novelist of indisputably major rank.
